THE SADDLETREE METAPHOR
A saddle tree is the foundation of a saddle. It’s the wooden frame that ensures the saddle fits the horse properly, that allows the rider to stay balanced on horseback, and that distributes the rider’s weight so the horse stays comfortable. Essentially, the saddle tree is the most important part of the saddle. If the saddle tree is weak, then the saddle is weak. No saddle is better than the saddle tree.
As you may have guessed, I’m a horse-lover, so when I was thinking about the best name for my business, I kept thinking about how business is like the saddle tree. No business is better than it’s foundation. I do what I do because I believe in helping businesses establish a firm foundation so that they can grow and find the success they desire.
MISSION
A company is only as good as its foundation, and I’m dedicated to assessing businesses and giving owners the tools needed to create a strong foundation. When my friends advised me so that my first company could succeed, I knew that I wanted to do the same for other businesses. Other business coaches have a methodology that they follow for every client; I don’t follow that path. Every business is unique, so I create customized plans for each client I work with.
